Skagway
The Tlingit indians called this place Skagua witch means "windy place". Skagway is famous for all the fishing areas. In 1897 Skagway boomed with gold seekers. In 1898 the population of Skagway went up about 2,000 and construction started all up and down the city of Skagway from new houses to railroads. The army invaded Skagway in 1942 and takes over all the railroads so they can start putting troops all over Skagway. Skagway is now a popular city in south east alaska.
